Is it gross to blow your nose using toilet paper from your bathroom?

My friend’s argument is that when you flush the toilet, some of it sprays out, and the toilet paper is right next to your toilet. Plus when you grab the roll, your hands aren’t clean. Then you’re wiping it on your face.
