Does he have an obligation to take over the family business?

“My father owns a local store and it’s been in our family for around 60 years. My sister told me that my Dad plans on asking me to take over the business. I’m in my mid 40s and I’ve reached a point in my career where I have the perfect job. There’s nobody else to take it over, so if I don’t, we’ll probably have to sell the business. I’m absolutely torn on what to do.”
