Can you trust your partner after they suggest an open relationship?

“My boyfriend told me he thinks we should have an open relationship after telling me one of my best friends is hot. I told him absolutely not, and he seemed fine with that and he said ‘it didn’t hurt to ask.’ I know she’d never do anything with him. Should I be concerned?”
