“Honky Tonk Roll” tells the story of a guy having a wild night out to forget his ex.
Bowen says, “‘Honky Tonk Roll’ is my life I feel like – of course I’m not always heartbroken, but running around, being crazy wild… The opening line is ‘got a jackhammer in my head, clothes on in my bed.’ Unfortunately for me I have a lot of those nights – they’re wild and crazy and fun on the road, and wake up the next day and do it again. This is just the epitome of writing a honky tonk, fun party song and it’s so much fun to sing.”
